NOBA Nordic Baltic contemporary art platform

Partnerships with Konstfack and the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts bring internationally recognized excellence to the NOBA platform. Founded in 1844, Konstfack is Sweden’s largest university for arts, crafts, and design, shaping generations of artists and designers. Umeå Academy of Fine Arts, part of Umeå University and the Arts Campus, is renowned for its experimental and interdisciplinary approach, emphasizing the synergy of artistic practice and critical theory.

Through the work of Swedish artists, NOBA highlights the distinctive qualities of Nordic art: bold experimentation with form, materials, and technologies, combined with a strong conceptual and socially engaged dimension. Their presence on NOBA strengthens the cohesion of the Nordic-Baltic art field and amplifies the international visibility of artists from the region.
