Måns Palmberg is an artist whose practice centres on still life painting and the relationship between objects, observation, and composition. His work explores how collected and carefully arranged everyday objects can become vehicles for studying colour, form, atmosphere, and personal associations.

Palmberg began developing his still life practice in 2018, shortly before starting his Bachelor of Fine Arts studies at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. The process opened up a way of working that combined collecting, sculpting, arranging, drawing, and painting within a single artistic framework. During his bachelor studies, this interest evolved into large-scale installation works, and for several years his practice focused primarily on material-based spatial compositions.

In 2025, Palmberg returned to painting and dedicated the final year of his Master of Fine Arts studies at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts to still life painting. Through the continued collection and arrangement of objects, he investigates motifs, colour palettes, and painterly structures, seeking new ways to construct visual narratives through everyday materials.

His work has been exhibited in Sweden, including the graduation exhibition Of Love and Care at Bildmuseet, Umeå (2026), where he presented a body of paintings exclusively for the first time. Previous projects include a commissioned painting programme for Region Dalarna, resulting in nine works acquired for public healthcare facilities.

Alongside his artistic practice, Palmberg is pursuing studies in art education. Following the completion of his master’s degree, he continues to develop a professional path that combines teaching with an active artistic practice.
