Sebastian Blind Emerging artist

Sebastian Blind works through a reweaving of his Sámi heritage, practicing in continuous relation to the noaidi as a bearer of knowledge, with a deepened connection to the drum as a ritual and historical tool for healing, communication, and navigation between different spiritual and worldly realms.
Blind recently graduated from the bachelor’s Programme in Fine Arts at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts. During 2025, he participated in exhibitions at Tráhppie sámi cultural center 2025, Havremagasinet Boden 2025, and Gallery Verkligheten 2025. His work will also be presented at Umeå Art Gallery in direct relation to Arctic Arts Summit 2026, an international summit focused on art, culture, and societal development in the Arctic region. Following this, Blind will present a solo exhibition at Bror Hjorths Hus in the autumn of 2026. Blind is also the recipient of the 2026 jury-awarded drawing scholarship from Bror Hjorths Hus.
