Columns of laughter, 2013

200 x 100 cm

200 x 100 x 100 cm

The artwork was awarded a diploma at the ART SENSES exhibition in Italy in 2014.

“The piece is dedicated to the smile, to laughter, and to a light-hearted, cheerful mood. The golden surfaces symbolize small smiles growing into full-bodied laughter that takes over the whole body. The work seeks to evoke positive emotions, joy, and goodwill. There is always at least one smile — or even a burst of laughter — in each day that makes the hardships feel lighter. Let us try to find these moments in the multicolored richness of life!
The work is designed to be suspended from the ceiling at varying heights, covering an area of approximately 1 x 1 meter, and should be viewable from all sides.”

Materials: manila rope, linen cord, hand-made twist rope from wool yarn and synthetic cord, and repurposed metallized coffee packaging.
