I am writing about your tangles, 2026
Drypoint and monotype on paper, charcoal, salt, wood
I am interested in secret languages, symbols, and the stories they carry. Symbols can be secretive — a language shared between those who need it; to survive and to preserve one’s story. The images of the work explores language and communication, although in a form that cannot be fully decoded. A tension arises between what can be understood and what remains hidden. In printmaking, I think about imprints and traces, much like the traces left behind by people who are no longer here and in abandoned places. The Images are repeatedly printed, depicting ordinary everyday objects and artifacts, retelling a present and a past. Shadows and memories into the surface. Exhibited during the graduation exhibition “’Allt sjunger s/om fantomer’’ 2026, at Gallery Verkligheten, Umeå.
