Auto-technique, wood, rotband, metal, rubber gloves, contact microphones to create an acoustic instrument that can be physically manipulated by changing its size and sound; to create a 180 degree sound-absorbing Helmholtz panel; during the process, to look for parallels between silence and noise, pressure and relief. A childhood memory flashed through my mind – an event that I now remember as one of my truly happy childhood experiences. I lived in a remote corner of Jurmala, in Asari, in Krastatsiem. My grandfather and great-grandfather built the house with bricks, some of which were stolen from houses that were no longer in use. The house had a nice veranda where you could relax on the sofa. My father would sometimes lie on the sofa and read the newspapers when he was with us. He moved the inside of his mouth, the opening of his jaw and his lips, and that changed the sound that was made. We alternated and he blew the air; you could feel the air stream turning into a vibration and the mucous membrane of his mouth vibrating gently, creating an abstract song. work has participated in exhibition- “Panoptiks” 2023, Riga, Latvia
