Last week started the public voting of Baltic Young Artist Award 2017, which will reveal this years’ best young artist from Baltic countries. 78 participants from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are competing to win the prizes.

Baltic Young Artist Award presents artworks from various styles as painting, graphic art and sculpture and also more modern categories as installation and performance art. Two prizes are waiting to be given out – jury’s award and the prize for the winner of public voting. Monetary prizes are 2000€ and 500€.

General winner will also get the possibility to participate next year in the art fair ArtVilnius, Tallinn Art Week and also get’s the opportunity to hold a personal exhibition in Latvian Museum of Contemporary Art.

For young graduates from art academies is the competition a good chance to get a good start for their personal careers in the art field. And also a good way for other people to see, what is happening in the Baltic art scene now.

We invite everyone to get acquainted with participating artworks and to support favourites!

Public voting will remain open until 9th of November on web page of Baltic Young Artist Award 2017 – http://balticyoungartistaward.eu/en/home/.

The initiators of the award are contemporary art platform NOAR.eu and the Latvian Museum of Contemporary Art Foundation (LMoCAF), founded by the ABLV Charitable Foundation and the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation, in cooperation with Art Academy of Latvia, Estonian Academy of Arts and Vilnius Art Academy.
