M.L.91, 2023

140 x 140 cm

Acrylic on canvas

In a “Primordial chaos” works series, I have interpreted and visualized the chaotic nature of the mind, its contamination with misinformation; primordial drives born out of confusion, fear and ignorance, exploring the cognitive processes of the mind and the techniques that foster delusions in this oversaturated digital age. I draw parallels between the mind, how our cognitive processes work and how mental shortcuts are formed. The more I study these questions, the more I understand that it is super applicable to art and what I do. In my multi-layered “M.L.91” painting I’m depicting confusion and chaos that emerges from our polluted minds and how it can create false assumptions about how the real world works.
