Felicija Dudoit Emerging artist

Artist's country of origin: Lithuania

Felicija Dudoit (b. 1999, Lithuania) is a painter of the youngest generation. She graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2023 with a MA in painting, is a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union, and her work is represented by Contour Art Gallery. She has been participating in group exhibitions since 2018, including at the ArtVilnius’22 art fair, and has had four solo exhibitions to date. Her works were acquired by the MO Museum (Vilnius, Lithuania) in 2022, making Felicija Dudoit the youngest artist in the MO Museum’s collection. Felicija Dudoit’s paintings often depict empty, open spaces, pervaded by gentle melancholy and a sense of underlying tension, casting doubts on the authenticity of the moment. In her search for motifs, she mentally juxtaposes the objects she sees with other objects, contexts and events. In this way, the paintings display places that are often impossible to locate or visit. A new space is thus created that does not exist in reality. People passing by and objects become part of a cultural landscape rather than of a natural one.
