Expressing my personal position, the painting depicts suffering, death, past days of war, evil, love, humanity, and inhumanity. Using mixed media, it represents the uncertainty and anxiety of this time. The aim of this work is to reflect my personal opinion of the brutal warfare happening in Ukraine. To take a stand and protest against this type of human rights violations, and at the same time to criticise and question the system in which we live in. As a result of this war, the conceptual practices of the 20th century have been re-activated, and we should rethink the collective memory and heritage. Following the theme, I chose to depict chaos, anxiety, and a sense of entrapment with various symbols and details.
