hand printed monotype on Kozo, aluminium frame
On this work I have been inspired to express the possibilities of the paper itself as a material. Translucent features of a very thin printing paper shows out in multiple colors when combining two printed sheets together. In the work there can be seen forms symmetrically settled in the middle area of the image. Those forms have been inspired from my visual perceptions of nature, especially summer flowers where I have found extremely interesting how intelligent and stunning forms they are capable to produce. The work has two sides and installed in a space in a way that viewer has a possibility to look the work in different angles. Hohde (eng. Glow) were part of this year’s bachelor degree show in Academy of Fine Arts Finland.
