Keita Melle ^{Emerging artist}

Keita Melle is Latvian ceramic artist based in Riga. During her studies in Latvian Academy of Art

Master program of Humanities in Visual Plastic Arts, Ceramics faculty Melle has participated in multiple exhibitions and art symposiums. Most notably her works have been exhibited in Academies art gallery PILOT. Her work "Gut feeling" created during participation in the International Small Form Ceramics Symposium “Navigation XIII” is now in Ventspils art museums collection. Melles work is centered around social commentary on human experiences looking at topics such as belonging and reconstruction of ones identity. Artists work is created mostly in handballing technique, however Melle is open to new materials also experimenting with slip casting porcelain.
