NOBA Nordic Baltic contemporary art platform

The 16th edition of the international contemporary art fair ArtVilnius’25 opened on 3 October at the Litexpo Exhibition and Conference Centre in Vilnius. Over three days, the fair brought together 80 galleries and institutions representing nearly 300 artists from 16 countries. During the opening ceremony, the traditional ArtVilnius awards were presented. The international jury, chaired by art critic and curator Dr. Jurgita Ludavičienė, selected the best artists and galleries of this year’s fair.

The Top Seven Galleries recognised by the jury were: Vilnius Academy of Arts Gallery 5 Malūnai, GODÒ Gallery, Drifts Gallery, Meno Niša Gallery, Māksla XO Gallery (Riga), Temnikova & Kasela Gallery (Tallinn), and The Rooster Gallery (Vilnius).

This year’s Focus Baltic programme was dedicated to the Baltic art scene and curated by Maria Arusoo (Estonian Contemporary Art Centre), Inga Lāce (Latvia), and Sonata Baliuckaitė-Arlauskienė (ArtVilnius Artistic Director). In addition to the main exhibition, the fair offered a wide-ranging programme of discussions, educational activities, and public voting, with audience awards announced on the final day.

ArtVilnius’25 is organised by the Lithuanian Art Gallerists’ Association, directed by Diana Stomienė and curated by Sonata Baliuckaitė-Arlauskienė. The fair is supported by the Lithuanian Council for Culture, Vilnius City Municipality, COBALT Law Firm, EIKA Group, Inchcape / Mazda, and LITEXPO.
