Charcoal and gum arabic on paper

There are many doors in our vestibule, and to get inside the house you must go through three of them. The doors are different: one of them has a decorative window, some are decorated only with patterns of a varnished wooden surface, resembling the reflection of clouds on the surface of a gently rippling lake, and the wooden-panelled front door has a metal bottom that you have to kick to open the lock. The creaks and clanks of doors opening and closing accompany life in and around the house, as well as the chirping of birds and the ticking of a pendulum wall clock. The artwork creates a fragile reproduction of a personally important space, as the shapes of a door and a threshold are drawn hollow inside a paper. The work stems from material absence, the presence of thought, and how everything exists in a certain way only in a certain moment.
