Rüki Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the Old Town of Viljandi, operating since May 2019. We organize exhibitions showcasing a variety of artworks including paintings, photography, graphics, sculptures, installations, and other forms of alternative art. The gallery's aim is to introduce the work of Estonian professional artists to both local residents and visitors from Estonia and elsewhere in the world.
Situated in a historic granary building, during renovation work, a Mulgimaa dialect inscription 'Rüki jahu' (Rye Flour) was discovered on the wall, indicating its former use as a storage place for rye flour. Hence, the name of the gallery.
