Aerosol & stencil on steel plate. The work was exhibited in Edward von Lõnguse’s exhibition “Doomsday Cathedral” and is one of the kind made on steel plate.
The Venus of Willendorf is a 30,000-year-old female figure that was found in Austria. Its shape possibly refers to a contemporary feminine ideal, representing abundance, fertility and security. In ‘Doomsday Cathedral’, the Venus of Willendorf forms a conceptual ensemble with other female forms notable of their era: the Venus de Milo and a display mannequin.
