My graduation project is composed of five oil paintings which examine absence, detachment, and the role of the viewer. I am interested in brief everyday moments, which at first glance may appear perfectly ordinary. However, on closer inspection, they seem somehow charged in a disturbing way. The question is about a sensory experience – when you realize that something is not quite right, or when something that felt safe just a moment ago has started to feel uncomfortable.
