My graduation project is composed of five oil paintings which examine absence, detachment, and the role of the viewer. When I talk about examining the role of the viewer, I mean the way I create space for the viewer through my paintings and how the viewer positions themselves in front of my paintings and becomes part of the theme of watching and being watched. I wanted to go deeper into the space in front of the floral wallpaper which is included in both of my previous paintings (Wild Life and Wild Life II).
