The work is a minimalistic site-specific installation where the room elements have been tampered with to create a dysfunction. The room installation plays with the fine line between imaging and not imaging. The structural visual details and loud ground loop sound represent the dysfunction of their carriers. The monitors display a black image with a sign of the work being inactive and a computer lock screen landscape image. These images appear in the room as if they are “non-images”. Giving up possible representations makes the monitors take a sculptural physical form of their own. The room and it’s elements leave to question what is accidental and what is intentional. The work is displayed for the first time at TASE’19 exposition at Estonian Academy of Arts.
