Glass, bio material (tears)
In my practice there are things that cannot be painted. Emotions, for instance — not their external expressions, but their interior weather. And yet every material practice is an attempt to give body to what has no body: to make the invisible touchable, to arrest what is in the process of evaporating. This work, Tears I, consists of glass vials filled with my tears, which I collect every time I leave Kyiv after a temporary visit. Each vial becomes a personal testimony of farewell, a memory of the place and moment I was in. Together, they form a chronicle of loss, feelings, and attachment, materializing the immaterial — tears as traces of time, space, and emotion. The work is part of my Museum of Nomad project. Its inventory card is attached as separate image in the additional photos section.
