Dimensions with frame 70 x 60 cm. “Ice and Heather” is a print graphics series that seeks common lines between writing and drawing, creation and natural forces. Graphic works inspired by Jaan Kaplinski’s literary reflections on the spiritual kinship between species, distant journeys in mountain landscapes and local bog terrain are composed together as a recurring word pair: ice and heather. Blue line drawings scratched into the ice in drypoint technique create a new ensemble with geometric reddish etchings reminiscent of bog plants. The work is exhibited in Maakri Kvartal in spring-summer 2026
