“I understand that the idea of a work of art is not an idea born in the author, I rather feel my role as a mediator, a continuum. The form in question has addressed me, asking me to remember the riddle, the answer to which is formed independently of human consciousness and exists outside it. What is essential in art is what does not happen in it, what does not exist in it, which is not commensurate with the empirical criterion – the measure of all things.”
