Eva (70) was the only one among the participants who associated the discomfort with being photographed with a specific childhood event. More precisely, it was from her grandfather’s funeral, where children were placed in front of the casket on the veranda, and where they were repeatedly scolded for squinting their eyes due to the sun, while the photo was taken of them. She emphasizes that she doesn’t feel fear in front of the camera but rather a sense of discomfort.
