Bruised and Confused / AUGUSTE, 2019
72 x 51 cm
Silkscreen on paper
A bruise is usually obtained by accident and works as a reminder of an unpleasant memory, its carrier’s awkwardness or stupidity. However, if made intentionally it can be worn on peoples skin as a piece of jewelry, something to proudly showcase to others. “AUGUSTE” is a representation of a bruise made on purpose. It shows artists bitemarks on her friends Auguste’s arm.
