In make-up and fashion industry, nude objects are widely used to emphasise selected body parts and hide the unwanted. Jancis is intrigued by how objects that should blend with the body and remain invisible are instead amplified as an artificial shell while conquering the body as an object. Befitting Flesh highlights items of clothing as a material waiting to be filled and fulfilled by the body and the desiring gaze.
