Vitor Pascale Emerging artist

Vitor Pascale

Artist is based in: Estonia

Vitor Pascale is a multidisciplinary artist recently graduated in Contemporary Art from the Estonian Academy of Arts. Vitor’s artistic practice is rooted in the interconnection of materials, process, research and conceptual exploration. He is driven by a desire to reflect on the relationships between memory, identity, and the borders between urban and private sites in the context of queer experiences. Through sculptural and installation work, he has been working on reimagining playgrounds and intimate domestic spaces as sites of freedom and performance, where normative structures can be suspended, and queer identity emerges in fluid ways. Vitor conceptualises the playground as a space of transformation, where the act of play creates temporary worlds. At the same time, he considers the significance of enclosed, intimate environments. Hidden corners, domestic interiors, where queer individuals navigate safety, memory, and belonging. His works build spaces that blur inside and outside, the real and the imagined. In his practice he looks to the past, to the coded gestures, hidden sites, queer history and to the present, where for me the notion of play represents an act of resistance and remembering.

In 2025 Vitor Pascale won a Helju Rossmann-Schneider Scholarship, awarded by the Estonian American Fund to exceptional EKA Fine Arts master’s students.
