Ūla Norvilaitė Emerging artist

Ūla Norvilaitė

Artist is based in: Lithuania

Ūla Norvilaitė is a Lithuanian artist based in Vilnius. She recently graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Art. During her studies, she got strong printmaking, book design, and academic drawing knowledge. In her artistic practice, she uses intaglio, photopolymer, lithography, and silkscreen techniques. Many of her works are in a book format, combining various media such as printmaking, animation, and sewing. This approach allows her to create a fresh and modern perspective on archaic, traditional techniques – combining them with contemporary elements like video. An important aspect of her artistic practice is the tactile aspect and creating new spaces and experiences for the viewers.

The artist participated in a group exhibition, collaborating with other artists, in Lithuania: Young New Graphic Art: Metaphysics of a Book (Vilnius Graphic Art Centre’s Kairė–dešinė gallery), 22° G: Milieu (gallery 5 malūnai, Vilnius);
