Tuure Leppänen ^{Emerging artist}

Tuure Leppänen (b.1999) is a Helsinki based visual artist working with lens-based art. In his works, themes of memory, lived experience and feelings of belonging and disconnect are studied with a photographic gaze – a question recurs: How do virtual worlds, machine made matrixes created with apparatuses, affect the way we remember the past, experience visual contemporaneity and head towards the future. He is currently studying in the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. His works have been previously exhibited in galleries and off-site venues in and around Helsinki. His next project will take place in November of 2022 in the www-art space sabl.live.
