Sofi Aršas (1965) is a glass artist whose work explores experiences of danger and safety, both on a societal and a personal level. In recent years, she has focused on articulating sensory perceptions related to different spaces, the objects within them, lived relationships, and even dreams. Aršas has participated in numerous exhi- bitions in Estonia and internationally and is regarded as one of the artists expanding the boundaries of contem- porary Estonian glass art. She has also curated seve- ral exhibitions. Aršas graduated in glass art from the Estonian Academy of Arts (1992) and currently teaches at the Tallinn Art School as well as in her own studio, Mustvalge. She is a member of the Estonian Glass Artists’ Association and the Estonian Artists’ Association
