Renate Ermel is a fourth-year painting student from Kõrgem Kunstikool Pallas (Pallas University of Applied Sciences). Her main focus is on painting, but also writing poems. Sometimes she combines both of them to make something new and interesting. Her first personal exhibition “Sumbuma” was in Kuldre Noortekeskus. In high school she published a poetry book with her own illustrations named “Meie otsime”. She has also participated in a group exhibition within the event “Kontrastikunst”. It was a one-day joint exhibition located in the old sports building of Vana-Antsla and during that time workshops took place. She led the creation of a joint painting, which all visitors could take part in. Her exhibition consisted of 17 paintings and the title was “Tundub, et asi on minus”. Heikki Leis, Billeneeve, Rein Muuluka, Toomas Kuusing, Taavi Oolberg, Madis Katz, Danel Rinaldo, Mirjam Kustov, Talis Taim and Katry Mets also held their exhibitions. Her most recent exhibition was held in Antsla Kultuurikeskus and was called “Viibimas ja Veetmes”.
