Kseniya Khamiankova is a visual artist and scenographer based in Vilnius whose practice explores the intersection of scenography, fine art photography, and spatial installation. Drawing on theatrical language—including masks, costumes, and mise-en-scène—she investigates how these elements can be transformed beyond the conventional stage into immersive artistic environments.

At the core of Khamiankova’s work is an exploration of liminal states and the sense of unease that emerges when familiar spaces become destabilised. She holds both a BA (2024) and an MA (2026) in Scenography from the Vilnius Academy of Arts, having previously studied Theatre and Decorative Painting at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.

Her master’s project, Unsettling Interpretations Beyond the Theatrical Stage (also known as Almost Home), was inspired by Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis and presented in 2026 as a photographic series and a walk-through spatial installation at the Vilnius Academy of Arts Library. Khamiankova has also designed scenography for theatrical productions including Peer Gynt, King Lear, and The Snow Queen, and has exhibited her work in projects such as scenoGrafai, the Belarusian Student Pavilion at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space (PQ 2019), and exhibitions in Lithuania and internationally.
