Miina Barrera Pinochet (b. 1991 in Tartu) is an Estonian artist whose practice unfolds between Estonia and Germany. Her primary medium is painting, complemented by video art and performance. Barrera Pinochet’s work explores the interconnections between nature, psychology, and the human condition, focusing on cycles of decay and renewal and their emotional and existential resonance within both ecological and inner landscapes. Drawing from natural morphologies, her work blurs the boundaries between the organic and the symbolic, the intimate and the universal. Miina Barrera Pinochet holds a BA in Painting from the Estonian Academy of Arts (2016) and furthered her studies at the Berlin University of the Arts. She is currently completing her studies in fine arts at at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. Since 2025, she has been a member of the Estonian Artists’ Association and the Estonian Painters’ Association, and is a co-founder of the artist collective Fluidum Ensemble. She has been exhibiting since 2011.
