Maret Sarapu

Maret Sarapu (1978) is a glass artist whose work draws inspiration from everyday life while exploring the expressive potential and inherent beauty of the mate- rial. She is particularly interested in patterns and repe- tition, as well as their transformation and interruption. Sarapu completed her Master’s degree in Glass Art at the Estonian Academy of Arts (2005) and has further developed her practice through professional courses and residencies in Estonia and abroad. She has participated in numerous percent-for-art competitions, and her works are included in several public and private col- lections. From 2026 to 2028, she is a recipient of the state artist’s salary. Sarapu is a member of the Estonian Glass Artists’ Association and the Estonian Artists’ Association.
