Liis Tedre (b. 1976 in Tallinn) graduated 2022 from the Department of Fine Arts of the Estonian Academy of Arts with a bachelor’s degree in graphics. She has studied extra-curricular in Tartu Art College Pallas and in Dedalo Arte Contemporanea, Italy. As an artist, she appreciates the feeling of holding graphics paper in her hand – its relief, structure, and sensitivity. She creates planar more traditional graphics as well as works with new authored techniques that offer playfulness and unpredictability. Recently, she has been using everyday objects in her works to tell playful stories. She is interested in the universal and timeless regularities of the world, seeing the similarities in the functioning of nature and the human realm, and following paths beyond goodness.
