Iisa Lepistö’s (b.1994) works consist of sculptural elements and written fiction, forming installations that are built in space specific ways. The practise is based on long-term processes in which materials merge with each other and reproduce themselves as images, sculptural objects, writings and videos. Lepistö sees the materiality itself as valuable, living and always shape changing matter – that has the ability to affect the artist as much as the artist shapes its appearance. Lepistö lives and works in Helsinki, Finland.
