Hanna Piksarv Emerging artist

Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Hanna Piksarv (born 1989) is a sculptor and visual artist, who completed her Master´s studies in the Estonian Academy of Arts, the field of sculpture, in 2015. She has participated in group exhibitions in Estonia and Austria since 2009. In the recent years, her main focus is on collaborative projects and personal exhibitions. This includes the exhibition “Hea ja halg” in Tartu Art House, which focused on the topics of body, time and work and a project weighing the merits of handicraft  “Excellence in Ebensee” in the framework of the Festival of Regions in Austria. The artist is currently working on a project focusing on the synergies of thinking and handwork, which will also reach the audiences of both Tallinn and Austria.


Piksarv was awarded the Young Sculptor prize in 2012 and FIDEM´s Young artist award, in 2014 she also received the Eduard Wiiralt award.
