Andre Joosep Arming (1995) lives and works in Tallinn. He holds a BA in Photography (2018) and an MA in Contemporary Art (2024) from the Estonian Academy of Arts Faculty of Fine Arts. In his creative work, Arming primarily uses polaroid and video media, as well as the diary format. His works are characterized by themes such as birth and death, life experimentation, the timeline, and cyclicality. After his bachelor's degree, he continued his studies in contemporary art, taking time to further develop his position as an artist. In October 2022, he received a heart transplant. This year, Arming participated in the group exhibition “Gentle Gestures of Self” at the EKA Gallery (curator: Kaisa Maasik), and in late spring, he participated in the TASE ‘24 graduation exhibition at the Tallinn Art Hall.
