An important exhibition for Baltic states “Wild Souls. Symbolism in the Baltic States” will open in the Musee d’Orsay in exactly one month from today.
The opening of the exhibition takes place on 9th of April and it is an huge step for Baltic art scene to present the creation of our artists from the beginning of 20th century to the world’s most important art public.
The artworks origin from years 1890-1920. The exhibition is also a celebration of 100 years independency in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
From Estonian artists, for example Konrad Mägi, Nikolai Triik and Oskar Kallas are presented. The exhibition has three main topics: “Myths and Legends”, “Soul” and “Landscape”. These topics express the relations between artists and romance, inner world of human beings and connections with nature.
In October, the exhibition travels to Kumu Art Museum and will be open there until the beginning of February 2019. Anyone, who does not have an opportunity to go to Paris can still see the exhibition.
