Annabel Kajetski (born in Kauniainen 1988, Finland), is a visual artist based in Helsinki, working with interactive installations, painting and video art. Kajetski has special knowledge in art and technology and is not shying away from using the newest tools in her works. The themes linger between immersive video installations and obscure robotics. Common for the works is a small twinkle in the eye and a DIY attitude. Kajetskis past in the healthcare field (Occupational Therapy) is one of the many reasons why her works strive to be as accessible as possible and can thus be experienced with different senses. The works often include touchable surfaces, sounds or scents. Kajetski also uses mostly recycled materials in her installations. Kajetski has worked closely with other artists and researchers to extend her practice into more collaborative and inclusive gestures. Her video works tend to have statements or interviews by researchers embedded in them, giving more informative aspects to the pieces.

Annabel Kajetski has shown works in domestic and international exhibitions, including; Gallery Studio 44, Stockholm Sweden, Gallerii 3,14, Tallin, Estonia, Light Art Biennale, Helsinki, Ateneum museum, and Ham Corner, HAM Museum, Helsinki. Her work has been reviewed in Helsingin Sanomat and she was nominated for the Young Baltic artist award in 2021. Her artistic achievements also include received art grants from Konstsamfundet, Svenska Kulturfonden, TAIKE and The Arts Promotion Centre. This year she was selected to be a part of the the Saastamoinen Foundations International Mentorship program with the mentors Angela Rosenberg and Jonatan Habib Engqvist that aim to guide Kajetski within the international art field.
