The Trap, 2023

300 x 300 cm

Metal

The Trap environmental object aims to distract passers-by from everyday stress. Hustling, pursuing goals, and planning the day thoughtlessly are the top reasons for burnout. The Trap consists of three geometric metal frames that are tilted forward, thus creating the illusion that the objects are falling. The author has observed in his experience that thinking that you have time is the cause of the last-minute rush, which, in turn, affects the rest of life’s rhythm. “We are the only ones who care about our time, and we are the only ones who can control it.” (V. Upenieks)
