In her bachelor’s work, Stina Skulme drew inspiration from her friend’s art of embracing and enjoying life. In her works, the author interprets this inspiration’s worldview, characterized by living with ease and love for the surroundings, accepting the present, and being mindful of the moment. She employs a soak – stain technique that she has previously used, along with dry pastels, and subtly enhances her work with tempera and oil pastels. All six paintings in “Love is Our Only Chance” series will be exibited on Art Academy of Latvia students diploma works exibition.
