Varberg's Art Gallery is located in the Kulturhuset Komedianten, in the center of Varberg. Three exhibitions of national and international contemporary art are shown here annually. The exhibition program consists of solo exhibitions as well as thematic group exhibitions. The art gallery produces its own exhibitions, but also collaborates with freelance curators.
In the selection of exhibitions, there is a desire for a variety of themes where questions of an existential, political and philosophical nature reach different target groups, with a broad representation of visitors. Varberg's art gallery always strives to present the various phenomena, content and forms of expression of contemporary art in as versatile a way as possible.
Varberg Art Gallery independently plans its program content and invites its exhibiting artists. We actively follow what is happening in contemporary art, but also accept exhibition proposals, even if our program is not based on this. The exhibition program is laid out approximately two years in advance.
All exhibitions at Varberg's art gallery have free entry and are always open during the exhibition period, except during the periods when the venue is closed due to re-hanging for a new exhibition.
