Fotogalleriet

Located in central Oslo, Fotogalleriet is the oldest existing and continually operating institution working with photography as a critical art practice in the Nordic region. Since its founding in 1977, Fotogalleriet has been instrumental in Norway to institutionalize language around photographic art and promote and mediate photography as a free tool for personal expression through exhibitions and programs with local and international artists.
