Out of the Shadows – An Exhibition by Johan Thurfjell

“Out of the Shadows” explores theatre as a borderland where reality and imagination converge—a theme the artist has engaged with in various ways since the early 2000s. The exhibition includes, among other works, a new piece inspired by the museum’s own collection of model theatres. Johan Thurfjell (b. 1970, Solna) is based in Tullgarn, Sörmland, and his works are represented in the collections of Moderna Museet and Gothenburg Museum of Art, among others.
