Lennart Samor was born in 1971 and lives in Östersund. He exhibits regularly around Sweden, but has also exhibited in Norway and Denmark, and is represented by several municipalities and county councils.
"In 2020 I had my first exhibition at RiverCity Gallery. It was also the first exhibition where I showed my paintings around my theme – DISTANCE / MOVEMENT / CLOSENESS – which I have been working with ever since. This exhibition is new paintings that move in the same world of thought. Changes and movements are more in the visual. I break up the surfaces more now, at the same time the images become more realistic and I approach the subjects and portray them with greater realism. The focus on urban environments, how we travel and encounter new places, has also been highlighted in the motifs in recent times. It's about portraying the present and the space between places."
