Joachim Karkea is back with his third exhibition at RiverCity Gallery. "I like to work with light in my pictures, and watercolor suits me best to achieve the soft transitions from light to dark."
The motifs in Joachim’s watercolors are usually landscapes for which he draws inspiration from nature and the silence that surrounds him. Joachim is a master at capturing the light in his paintings. Light is the soul of the landscape, nature’s presence is direct and essential in the works of art. Through his paintings, Joachim conveys colorful landscapes that touch beyond the surface of the image. The works of art open up and in the encounter with the viewer, magic arises.
