Jeannette Ehlers (b. 1973) is a Danish Trinidadian artist who uses memory, the structures of racism and colonialism in her works to exploit her own body and image manipulation . In his performances, installations, photographs and video works , he points out that history is not the past. Colonialism still affects the distribution of power and resources both globally and in the Nordic countries.
Black Bullets will be seen in the media space of the Touch exhibition as part of a series of three media works. The series is curated by the Saastamoinen Foundation’s art collection, which deals with the human effects of war on individuals, communities and culture in different eras and around the world.
