Known as a radical innovator in the visual arts, the Frenchman Daniel Buren (b. 1938) has taken over EMMA’s exhibition space for the spring of 2022. Daniel Buren has created a huge, new work for EMMA, consisting of countless reversible screens. Buren’s Les Paravents invites visitors to a walk through the zigzag maze of screens. In this in situ work, the screens represent the temporality and variability inherent in Buren’s art.
