During the exhibition, Ida Bakken shows a silk scarf collection with both famous and exotic floral motifs. Flower language is a kind of code language where you convey messages or emotions by putting flowers together in a bouquet. Each flower has its own meaning that can be interpreted if you know the code. The scarves are digitally printed in England on 100% silk. It should also be mentioned that all the illustrations are drawn 100% with Microsoft Paint.
Ida Bakken is a trained illustrator and graphic designer from the Oslo Academy of the Arts. She was born and raised in Ås between fields and greenhouses. In 2017, she received a scholarship from Grafill to work on a silk scarf project. The exhibition shows the results of this work.
