We are proud to present a broadly arranged exhibition with Jan Freuchen, an artist who has made his mark on his versatile art production, curatorial projects and his many publications.

The Screenshot at the same time is an interior and a kind of landscape, where recognizable materials and shapes (such as carpet tiles, laptops and wall mounted display racks) form both an open office landscape and a topographic map with rivers, land masses and buildings.

A pervasive element of the exhibition is the screen as object and condition, where the “ideal” digital sphere is transformed into the analog forms of sculpture. Digital display technology is changing our ways of thinking and is a visual and ideological filter for our eyes. At the same time, the word “screen” in its most basic sense does not refer to electronic graphics, but to protection or protection. This double meaning goes again as a kind of red thread in the exhibition, which attempts to soften the often rigid distinctions between architecture and landscape, between the object and its pictorial representation, between nature and culture.
